Personique Announces New Addition to Surgical Staff
AUSTIN, TEXAS – 1, December 2009 – Personique Surgery Center welcomes Dr. Randy J. Buckspan to the surgical team. With more than 22 years of experience, Buckspan is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Tampa Bay Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr. Buckspan has recently returned to his hometown of Austin, where he received his undergraduate and Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1980. He trained at Vanderbilt University in General Surgery and finished his Plastic Surgery training at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Buckspan was inspired to be a cosmetic surgeon by his brother who shares the same occupation. “I take pleasure in being a cosmetic surgeon because the patients are cheerful and excited about their procedures,” said Buckspan. He performs a variety of cosmetic procedures, and places a strong emphasis on patient care.
“I am very particular about safety and taking care of my patients,” states Buckspan, who also monitors patient post-operative progress and recovery. “It is important to me that my patients feel very comfortable, have all of their questions and concerns answered, and know they can get in touch with me.”

While cosmetic surgery enhances appearance, it also boosts self-confidence. “It is remarkable to see people who are withdrawn or lack confidence come in, then leave the office a whole new person. Seeing the internal transformation as a result of my work is what is most rewarding,” said Buckspan.
Outside of work, Dr. Buckspan participates in voluntary mission trips in South America. He also enjoys family time, and fishing, running and cycling.
