John Williams, MD
John Williams was born in the small town of East Rutherford, New Jersey, and attended a public grade school that had only one classroom for each grade. He later entered Rutgers University and earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters degree in Biochemistry. Following his master’s, he got his MD degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Williams is a board-certified plastic surgeon and is a member of ASPS and ASAPS.
Training
As part of his medical school training, Dr. Williams took the opportunity to travel to Europe and studied at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden — which is the second-largest hospital in Europe. Following up on the European training, he later moved to London where he trained as part of the National Health Service (NHS). This gave Dr. Williams the experience and perspective to learn many of the unique international practices of medicine.
His first two years of surgical training were at McGill University — acclaimed as the Harvard of Canada. He subsequently completed General Surgery Residency at Columbia University in New York City and his training in Plastic Surgery at The New York Hospital-Cornell University, New York City.
Several years later with the new development of Liposuction, Dr. Williams traveled to the office of Dr. Gerard lllouz in Paris, France. It was from Dr, lllouz—one of the original inventors of Liposuction—that Dr. Williams gained mastery of the technique.

Background
Dr. Williams then moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he was in private plastic surgery practice for 30 years, The Plastic Surgery Center of Baton Rouge, which was a nationally accredited plastic surgery practice.
