TYPES OF DERMAL FILLERS?
BELOTERO BALANCE
Belotero Balance is an injectable filler unique for its ability to uniformly assimilate into the skin’s existing sub-dermal structure, providing soft and subtle results. This versatile product has been FDA-approved and can be used for both deep nasolabial folds and more delicate areas, including fine lines above the lip line and to fill hollows below the eyes. This hyaluronic acid formula helps add volume to your existing facial contours and also hydrates the skin, creating a more vibrant and brighter complexion.
This procedure is very similar to any Dermal FIller treatment. When you come in, the targeted area will be cleansed and the technician will use a syringe with the hyaluronic acid and inject it in strategic locations. They will lightly spread the filler around, injecting more when needed. They will allow for the filler to sit for a bit to ensure that both of you are satisfied with the outcome.
A Belotero Balance treatment typically takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish.
Juvederm
When facial volume begins to collapse, injectable fillers can step in to replenish lost volume and restore a look of youthful vitality to the skin. One of the treatment options offered at Personique® in Austin is Juvederm injections. This FDA-approved, hyaluronic acid injectable filler is used to lift the facial structure and fill the folds around the mouth (nasolabial folds). The injectable gel flows easily into the skin to create a smooth, natural look and feel, providing long-lasting correction to add volume to facial tissue and restore a smoother appearance. It is often frequently used to smoothen moderate to severe “laugh lines” from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth
The procedure is performed by one of Personique®’s board-certified plastic surgeons who injects the hyaluronic acid filler into the skin using a fine needle to temporarily fill in the treatment area.
The entire procedure takes about 15 minutes after the initial consultation.
Radiesse
For those looking to get rid of wrinkles, folds and some scars around the mouth, Radiesse treatments (formerly called Radiance) are extremely effective. Patients who undergo Radiesse in Austin are typically 35 – 65 years old and often see up to 80% improvement just one week after treatment. Radiesse is highly sought-after by both men and women in Austin seeking a smoother, softer, and more youthful complexion, free of the unsightly wrinkles and creases that form around the nose and mouth as a result of aging.
Injectable Radiesse is a biocompatible, non-toxic, and non-allergenic filler. Most patients can be treated in the comfort of their plastic surgeon’s office using local anesthetic and an antiseptic solution.
The filler is injected under the skin at the treatment site(s) by a board-certified plastic surgeon, the whole process can be completed in as little as 15 minutes after your initial consultation. Though patients are advised to avoid sun exposure, they may resume normal activity immediately after their appointment. Some patients may experience minimal bruising and/or swelling for up to 36 hours after Radiesse treatment.
Radiesse has a broad range of uses and can treat a variety of issues, including:
- Nasolabial folds
- Smile lines
- Oral commissures
- marionette lines
Radiesse can also be used as a form of nonsurgical rhinoplasty to improve the appearance of the nose by filling in nasal imperfections. Radiesse results are longer-lasting than most other dermal fillers so it is often used to fill in hollow cheeks and reshape and contour other facial features such as the chin and jawline. This volumizing filler can also be used to plump up aging hands. Over time, the skin on the back of the hands becomes thinner and the subcutaneous layer of fat also begins to disappear, giving the hands a bony and veined appearance. Radiesse can be used to rejuvenate and restore a look of youthful volume to the hands.
